The Saint Ambrose of Woodbury Early Childhood Education Center is dedicated to supporting families by providing a safe, nurturing, Christian early childhood education program that fosters active, age-appropriate spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical development.

Our community recognizes the partnership between parents, children, staff and parishioners in providing for the development of children ages 8 weeks to 5 years as they learn and grow together. As a community we have a responsibility to support families - as the primary care givers to their children - by providing developmentally appropriate experiences that promote responsibility, respect and healthy relationships.

The full-day year-round program hours are 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Choose from 2 to 5 days per week for care. This program is available for: Infants (8 weeks – 12 months), Infants/Toddlers (12 months – 22 months), Toddlers (22 months – 32 months), Preschoolers (32 months – 5-years old)

We are on the National School Lunch Program.  A morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack will be provided.  Similac/Isomil formula, iron fortified cereal, and soft foods will be provided for the infants.  Parents provide diapers, wipes, ointments, extra clothing, etc. for their child.

 

The half-day preschool program runs September to June. This program serves the following age groups: 3/4 year olds: Tuesday/Thursday option from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and a Monday/Wednesday morning session from 8:45 – 11:30 AM. 4/5-year olds: Tuesday/Thursday/Friday option from 9:15 AM to 2:15 PM, and a Monday/Wednesday/Friday morning session from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM. We also offer a MULTI age class for 3,4, & 5 year olds from 12:30 PM to 3:15 PM on Monday/Wednesday/Friday afternoons. 

A hot lunch will be provided for the children in the 5-hour session on Tuesdays and Thursdays (3 & 4- year olds) and on Tuesdays / Thursday / Fridays (for 4 & 5-year olds).  There is no extended care for the half-day program. This program accepts children 3-5 year olds. The classrooms will be grouped with 3/4 year olds and 4/5 year olds.  A morning or afternoon snack will be provided and milk will be served with all meals and snacks. Children in the half-day preschool program must be potty trained. Children must be age 3 or age 4 by September 1.

The Saint Ambrose of Woodbury Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) will enroll children in the full-day program based on the following guidelines: As part of our parish mission of outreach to the broader community, twenty percent of the full-day spots will be filled with low-income families who qualify for MFIP childcare subsidy. Siblings of children currently enrolled in the full-day program of the Early Childhood Education Center with priority given to Saint Ambrose of Woodbury parishioners based on their date of registration in the parish. Saint Ambrose of Woodbury parishioners based on the date their application is received by the Early Childhood Education Center. If a family joins the parish after their ECEC application date, their date of registration in the parish will be used. All other families who are not members of Saint Ambrose of Woodbury parish, based on the date their application is received by the Early Childhood Education Center.

When a class is full a waiting list will be developed based on the following guidelines: *Low-income families who qualify for MFIP childcare subsidy will have priority not to exceed 20% of our total full-day enrollment. *Siblings of children currently enrolled in the full day program of the Early Childhood Education Center with priority based on: Family date of registration in Saint Ambrose of Woodbury parish Call date for non-parish families. *Saint Ambrose of Woodbury parishioners based on the date their application is received by the Early Childhood Education Center. If a family joins the parish after their ECEC application date, their date of registration in the parish will be used.* *All other families who are not members of Saint Ambrose of Woodbury parish, based on the date their application is received by the Early Childhood Education Center.* *All names on the parish list will be contacted before spaces are offered to families on the non-parish list.

The Saint Ambrose of Woodbury Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) will enroll children in the half-day program based on the following guidelines: Current Student Registration and Class Placement Students currently enrolled in the Saint Ambrose of Woodbury half-day program will be able to register in December for the next school year. At this time current families will also be able to register siblings into the half-day program. Registration for new families will take place in January of each year. Class placement will be determined as follows: *Siblings of children currently enrolled in the half-day program. *Saint Ambrose of Woodbury parish members based on the family’s date of registration in the parish. *Sibling Preference for families previously enrolled in the ECEC program. *Non-parish members based on class availability.
