PARENTING THE LOVE & LOGIC WAY: This Six-Session parenting program was created by the Love & Logic Institute. Raise self-confident, motived children who are ready for the real world. Learn loving, yet powerful tools for parenting children of all ages. Cost is $30/single and $40/couple (one workbook included). RAISING THE BAR: Join us at Angelina’s Kitchen in Woodbury for a social hour and guest speaker as we address relevant faith-based topics to challenge us to greater faith and inspire us to a deeper relationship with God. This event is for adults 21 and older. There is no cost to attend. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Social hour starts at 7:00 PM followed by a guest speaker at 8:00 PM. Momnipotent: Finding Peace, Balance and Joy in Your Vocation as a Mother validates the dignity and importance of motherhood and will help you recognize your uniquely feminine strengths and see how you can use those strengths to find peace, balance, and joy in being the woman God created and called you to be. This Eight-Part study includes a book, a mother’s journal and access to online video lessons. Cost is $30.00. PRAY & PLAY: Pray & Play is for moms with infants, toddlers and preschoolers who want to come together to support one another in motherhood through prayer. Women’s Morning of Reflection
The Women’s Ministry at Saint Ambrose of Woodbury invites you to the 2017 Women’s Morning of Reflection with special guest Laura Sobiech. Laura is the author of the book Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom’s Small Prayer in a Big Way. The Women’s Morning of Reflection will be held on Saturday, March 11 from 9:00-11:00 AM at Saint Ambrose of Woodbury. A continental breakfast will be served. About the Guest Speaker: Laura Sobiech was born and raised in Minnesota. She has been married to her husband, Rob, for twenty-four years, and they are the proud parents of four awesome children: one married, one in college, one in heaven, and one in high school. Laura has spent the past couple of years crossing things off her I-Never-Want-To-Do List, now having done most everything that was on it, including: globe trekking, public speaking, fund-raising, Skype-ing on live television, and supporting a child with cancer. Men’s Bible Study meets Thursday 7:00-8:00 PM at Saint Ambrose. This Eight-Part study begins January 19th. Cost is $15.00. Books are available at the parish office or at the first session. The books of the Bible covered in Historical Books II share a common emphasis centered on the need for the people to remain faithful to the covenant established between God and the Israelites. If the nation remains faithful to God’s covenant, God will protect Israel and lead it to be victorious in battles, but if the nation abandons the covenant, God will abandon Israel and allow other nations to plunder and conquer this nation established by God. Historical Books II covers 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra and Nehemiah) by Rev. William A. Anderson DMin, PhD.
